1. About us

These terms govern the provision of driving lessons and related services ("Services") by London Driving Academy ("we", "us", "our"), a driving school operating in England & Wales with a registered address at 8 Ascham End, London E17 5EB. By booking a lesson you ("you", "the learner") agree to these terms.

2. Booking and payment

Lessons and packages are booked via our website, phone or in person with your instructor. Payment is due in advance for individual lessons and in full for block bookings and intensive courses unless a written payment plan has been agreed. We accept UK debit and credit cards via Stripe, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Prices displayed on the website are inclusive of VAT where applicable and may be updated from time to time. The price you paid at the time of booking will be honoured for that booking.

3. Cancellations and rescheduling

You may reschedule or cancel a lesson free of charge with at least 48 hours' notice.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice will be charged in full to cover your instructor's held time.
If we or your instructor cancel a lesson, you will be offered an alternative time at no extra cost or a full refund of that lesson.
Block bookings and intensive courses are non-refundable once lessons have started, but unused hours may be transferred to another learner in your household by written request.

4. Practical driving test

The DVSA driving test is booked and paid for by you unless we have expressly agreed to book it on your behalf as part of a package. Your instructor may decline to present you for test if, in their professional judgement, you are not ready to drive safely. Test-day car hire is offered subject to a satisfactory pre-test lesson and separate hire terms shown at booking.

5. Your responsibilities

Hold a valid UK provisional or full driving licence and bring it to every lesson.
Meet the DVSA eyesight standard and disclose any medical condition that may affect your ability to drive safely.
Be sober, rested and free from the influence of drugs (including prescribed medication that impairs driving) at all lessons and tests. Your instructor will terminate a lesson without refund if this is not the case.
Be ready at the agreed pick-up point at the start of your lesson. Late starts count against the booked lesson time.

6. Instructors

All our instructors are DVSA Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) holding a current green badge and enhanced DBS check. We reserve the right to change your instructor with reasonable notice; you may also request a different instructor at any time, and we will accommodate this where possible.

7. Vehicles

Lessons are delivered in modern dual-controlled vehicles maintained to DVSA standards and insured for tuition. You must operate the vehicle only under the direct supervision of your instructor and in accordance with the Highway Code.

8. Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our total liability to you in respect of the Services is limited to the total fees you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your lessons, please contact us at bookings@londondrivingacademy.co.uk or on 020 8050 9933. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 3 working days and resolve them within 14 days. You may also refer complaints about an individual ADI to the DVSA.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any dispute arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking will apply to that booking. The most current version is always available at www.londondrivingacademy.uk/terms.
